However, in order to do so, Shidou has to kiss Spirits, and this, of course, is only possible when both Shidou and the Spirit have feelings for each other. A kind and compassionate boy, Shidou’s power lies in his mysterious ability to seal the power of a Spirit within his own body. However, Shidou doesn’t remember much of his life prior to getting adopted. Shidou Itsuka: The main protagonist of the show, Shidou is a 16-year-old who was adopted by the Itsuka family after he was abandoned by his biological mother. In this backdrop, the show takes place in Tokyo, and follows a high school student called Shidou Itsuka. As the years pass, spacequakes start recurring, and the world has to cope with this unexplained disaster as it claims millions of lives every time. With scientists unable to decipher its origins, spacequakes are written off as inexplicable natural phenomena. This explosion is termed a “spacequake”, and scientists are baffled by it.
30 years prior to the events of the show, a massive explosion decimates East Asia, leaving approximately 150 million people dead in its wake. The show is set is a not-so-distant future. We’re keeping our ears open for news on Season 4 of the show, and we’ll update this section as soon as we hear more. However, we don’t expect this renewal to be announced any time soon, and a reasonable time to expect Date a Live Season 4 would be sometime in 2021 or 2022. That being said, since the show has enough source material to draw upon, we expect that it will be renewed for a fourth season. However, nothing has been confirmed as of now, and it’s too early to expect a confirmation. Although not much time has elapsed since then, fans are already demanding a fourth season.
